MSDN Academic Alliance

I wanted to post an FYI for our guests that may be attending some sort of technical school and has no idea what the MSDN AA is. Basically, click this link and see if you can find your school listed. If so, you may be in luck. Just check to see who the administrator for your school is and ask them for a login.

The administrator for my school just happened to be one of my professors and he got me my login information. This allows you get all the software listed on your schools page for free. I just got the new Windows Vista Business edition for free (a $299.99 value). They also have many other softwares for free that may assist you in your education. Depending on the software, you have a choice on checking out the CD from your professor, downloading an iso (legally) or paying a few dollars to have a CD mailed to you. The website provides you with a serial or CD key.

If you are currently attending college, technical school, etc. I would recommend at least checking to see if your school is listed. If you know anyone that may qualify, let them know. College costs thousands of dollars, hopefully you are entitled to some free software.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force Bomb Scare

This doesn't really relate to our main categories that we currently have, but I couldn't resist posting about this current new topic. Apparently Turner Broadcasting (owner of Cartoon Network) hired a third party advertising agency to help promote Aqua Teen Hunger Force. The signs feature the Mooninites giving the middle finger to people passing by. Some people thought it looked suspicious and reported a bomb at multiple locations where they were placed.

I totally disagree with the following statement. “It’s a hoax — and it’s not funny,” said Gov. Deval Patrick before the objects were determined to be part of an ad campaign.
