Wii

Sorry for the lack of updates, but I have been busy with work, school and many other things. I did manage to get my Nintendo Wii on launch day. It was quick and painless since I preordered it the day EB took preorders. The location I went to had 12 preorders and I was number 9 in a line of gamers when I arrived at 9 am. Over the next 3 minutes, additional people came in to claim the rest of the preorders. But most of this is stuff you have already heard other people talk about for the past few weeks, so enough of that. So here's a short synopsis of my travels.

Click on over for the post.

Two days before the Wii came out (Friday), I stopped by the local EB and picked up Trauma Center and Red Steel. I later picked up Zelda at Target on launch day. The motion sensing capabilities are very well done in the games I have played so far (except Red Steel is a little hard to get used to).

The system is still very hard to find as well as the controllers. It seems out of all of the stores around, Wal-Mart was the only place that had extra Wii-motes (with no nunchucks to be found). I snagged the last classic controller from EB as well. But thankfully, a few days later, a distant Wal-Mart got a second shipment and Sniperfox bought the very hard to find nunchuck attachment for me.

Dive came in town Friday and we played Wii sports for several hours. Unfortunately, I didn't have the second nunchuck attachment at that time, so we were limited to Wii Sports for multiplayer enjoyment. Anyways, I recommend anyone who sees the system on store shelves to immediately pick one up and buy it. You will not be disappointed (unless you just hate having fun playing games).
